Pope Francis’ inspirational speech to Congress

Pope Francis, on Thursday (Sept. 24), welcomed Americans to embrace immigrants around the world. During his joint meeting of the US Congress, Francis issued many touching topics such as climate change, death penalty, same sex marriage, and challenges of facing a “refugee crisis of a magnitude not seen since the Second World War.”

Despite being the first world wide inspirational leader for more than 1 billion Catholics, Francis also defended religious liberty and the tradition of family, “Fundamental relationships are being called into question, as is the very basis of marriage and the family. I can only reiterate the importance and, above all, the richness and the beauty of family life.”

Throughout his speech the Pope spoke about violence and concerns of youths being “trapped in a hopeless maze of violence, abuse and despair.”

With nearly 500,000 people gathered in the Capital Hall, the Pope addressed for every American to follow these rules and appreciate nationality globally.

As Pope Francis says, “God Bless to America!”
