Sorry bacon lovers, according to the World Health Organization, processed meat such as bacon, sausage, and ham can cause colorectal cancer.
After 22 international scientists researched and experimented on a number of 800 studies of cancer and diet, it is known to be that processed meats are just as dangerous as cigarettes and exposure to asbestos.
The World Health Organization web cited that eating 50 grams of processed meat each day, can increase the risk of cancer by an 18%. However, authors notified that the risks are relatively small to begin with. That’s nearly about 34,000 cancer deaths per year worldwide attributed to diets that are high in processed meat; and a small fraction of the 8.2 million deaths caused by cancer in the United States (2012).
We all know that hamburgers, bacon. and processed meat are not good for us.
