Jamie Foxx rescues motorist from burning vehicle

Way to go, Jamie Foxx!

Foxx jumped into action and rescued a man from a burning car in California on Monday night. According to the California Highway Patrol, 32-year-old Brett Kyle was driving at an apparent “high rate of speed” when his car suddenly drove into a drainage ditch in the road. The car collided with a drainage pipe and concrete, and rolled over several times before landing on the passenger side and engulfing in flames.

Kyle became trapped inside the vehicle, and two witnesses near the scene, including Foxx, ran to the site of the crash to help free him. The 48-year-old Oscar winner grabbed a rescue tool from his vehicle, which allowed the witnesses to break the window and cut the seat belt to help get Kyle out alive.

Emergency response teams quickly arrived to the scene. Kyle was later arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and was taken to a nearby hospital to treat his injuries.
