Coldplay, Bruno Mars & Beyonce rock the Super Bowl halftime show

I think we can all agree that this year’s Super Bowl halftime show lived up to the hype.

Coldplay kicked off the show with “Viva La Vida” after a brief, but yet powerful rendition of “Yellow.” The performance was then followed by short snippets of some of the British rock band’s more popular songs.

Not long after, the show shifted gears and all eyes were on guest star Bruno Mars who immediately opened up with the song everyone loves to hate, “Uptown Funk.” Of course, Beyonce also made an appearance with a performance of her new single “Formation,” which she debuted the day before the game.

The final act of the halftime show was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the halftime show, with a montage of some of the previous years’ performances flashing by on the big screen.
