High School Basketball State Title Games to Air on 88.7 FM The Pulse

88.7 FM The Pulse, the student radio station heard Valley-wide at East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT), will serve as the exclusive radio home for the Division I, II & III boys & girls Arizona state high school basketball championship games. The Pulse will broadcast the first of six state championship games, beginning with the girls Division-III title game at 4:30pm on Saturday, February 27th. The doubleheader will conclude with the boys D-III title game, at 6:30pm.

The Pulse will also feature four games on Monday, February 29th, starting with the girls D-II championship at 2pm, followed by the girls D-I title game at 4pm & the boys D-II championship at 6pm, while the boys D-I king will be crowned at 8pm.

Dave Juday & Scott Brown will call the action for the two games on February 27th, along with the first game of the day on February 29th. Michael Carotenuto will then pair with Brown for the final 3 broadcasts on the 29th. Also, EVIT radio student Joey Liberatore will serve as the halftime host, as The Pulse provides two days of state championship coverage on 88.7 FM.

The six title games airing on 88.7 FM come on the heels of The Pulse’s inaugural 13-game broadcast schedule of East Valley high school hoops (both boys & girls). Juday & Liberatore teamed up to call games throughout the season, as The Pulse broadcast from 12 different host sites and featured 21 different East Valley high schools.
