Stop what you’re doing. High School Musical 4 is finally coming.
Disney Channel has officially announced that it will be returning to East High for a fourth installment of the incredibly popular hit TV movie franchise.
“High School Musical is part of Disney Channel’s DNA,” says Gary Marsh, president of Disney Channel. “It embodies all that we stand for. As a way of continuing to embrace that heritage, we’re excited to announce ‘the start of something new’ as we launch a search for a new class of East High Wildcats to star in a fourth installment of the ‘High School Musical’ franchise.”
Jeffrey Hornaday is set to direct and choreograph the new movie, while Peter Barsocchini and Dan Berendsen will be writing the script.
Disney Channel has not yet announced when the movie will air. However, casting is expected to begin soon.
