The Saturday Night Party Patrol is back in the Valley of the Sun! Phoenix area residents might remember in the late 80’s when a radio station in town hosted a Saturday Night On Air Party called “The Saturday Night Party Patrol”. The show featured party music of all formats from the 80’s jam packed into five hours of fun. The show also often broadcast live from parties and hot spots in the Phoenix market, there was even a party posse that would follow the Party Van.
88.7fm The Pulse has made it’s mission to bring local interactive radio back to radio, and GM Steve Grosz feels that stations that do that hold the key to success in the digital age. “We’re all about the listener having fun listening to their radio, when people find our station they can’t believe that a station could actually be Top 40, and play six 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s an hour. That’s what we are about, and that’s the essence of Party Patrol…..from Drake to Def Leopard, Katy Perry to Poison, Skrillex to Spice Girls. Three hours of non-stop commercial-free party music.” Grosz stated.
The show launched on Saturday April 2nd from 8-11pm. The show will air every Saturday at that time, until Summer when it will expand to five hours, and the Pulse Camaro will hit the streets with on air personalities, and show up at party spots in the valley just like it’s predecessor did 30 years ago.
The Pulse broadcasts to the Phoenix market on 88.7fm (KPNG) and 90.7fm (KVIT) in the far East Valley. The Pulse has FREE mobile apps available on the App Store and Google Play, we are also on TuneIn and stream on www.pulseradio.fm
Steve Grosz also plans on re-creating a novelty show for Sunday nights in the spirit of Dr. Demento. The show titled “Back2Dementia” should launch next month.
