Phoenix freeway shooting suspect Leslie Allen Merritt Jr. was released from Lower Buckeye Jail on Tuesday.
In an “emergency hearing,” Merritt’s bond was lowered to $0 by Judge Warren Granville which is what ultimately lead to him being released from jail.
Merritt will be required to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet upon his release. He will be due back in court on May 18.
Merritt was arrested back in September of 2015 after detectives forensically linked a gun that Merritt reportedly pawned to four of the freeway shootings that had Valley drivers frightened.
