‘Finding Dory’ could be Pixar’s biggest opening of all time

Finding Dory is eyeing a massive debut at the box office.

The sequel to the modern animation classic Finding Nemo is set to be the biggest opening ever in Pixar history. Finding Dory is expected to debut between $115 million and $120 million when it opens in theaters on June 17.

Shawn Robbins, a senior box office analyst as BoxOffice.com said, “It’s way ahead of pace in terms of where other Pixar releases have been. Given ‘Finding Nemo’s’ status as a modern classic, it’s going to be huge.”

Finding Dory reunites the friendly-but-forgetful blue tang fish with her loved ones, and everyone learns a few things about the true meaning of family along the way. The all-new big-screen adventure dives into theaters in 2016, taking moviegoers back to the extraordinary underwater world from the original film.
