Most people know her as “Ginger Spice” from the Spice Girls, but Geri Halliwell went solo twelve years ago. Since then, she has not released a single worldwide. Nowadays, she goes by the name Geri Horner, and will be premiering a brand-new song called, “Angel In Chains,” in loving memory of her late friend, George Michael. The track will be available on June 23, two days before what would have been George’s 54th birthday. All profits from the single’s sales will benefit one of George’s most beloved non-profit organizations, Child Line, a 24/7 counseling service for kids and teens. Hearing of George Michael’s passing when she was nine months pregnant caused her to put those feelings on paper, and create a tribute track. Anyone who has ever lost someone they loved dearly will find healing in this heartfelt song.
