Coca-Cola is great versatile product that many use for cleaning their toilet, making a tasty BBQ sauce, even fertilizer, and washing acid build-up on car batteries, but there is a crazy new trend of people spraying it onto their bodies as a self-tanning method and Fitness Magazine reports that this is not a good idea, based on no existing scientific evidence that proves it is an alternative to other tanning options. A dermatologist said using Coke to brown your skin is the best way to develop skin cancer and wrinkles. Plus, how gross to be so sticky, as if the heat is not enough ! Three healthy things to do are to use of a broad-spectrum UVA / UVB sunscreen SPF 30 or higher every day, reapplying it every two hours. Second, stay in shade between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m when harmful UV rays are at their worst. Lastly, add extra protection with sunglasses, white and/or bright, loose clothing, and a wide-brimmed hat.
