Lightning strikes man giving speech at daughter’s wedding

With the monsoons quickly approaching here in Arizona, it’s always good to be aware when lightning is near ! A Canadian man was struck by lightning while giving a speech at his daughter’s wedding on July 8th. The ceremony was being held in an apple orchard at his home when lightning struck him in the hand while he was holding a microphone, just after he told his new son-in-law that he was a lucky guy. BOOM! Hmm … could be a sign from the universe … did you know lightning causes 30 deaths per year for last 10 years ? Sorry guys, but men are more likely than women to be struck by lightning. The Top 3 outdoor activities for lightning deaths are camping, fishing, and hiking/walking. Experts say, “When thunder roars, go indoors.” Wait 30 mins after the storm to resume outdoor activity.
