Only half way into August and The Valley of the Sun is running above average for rainfall this month. With the storm that blew in over the weekend, a new record was set by pouring 0.33 inches of rain at the Valley’s official rain gauge, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The good news is that lower temperatures late night and early morning will cool out the week in the upper 70s and low 80s each day. Most Phoenicians love the rain, but some wonder when we will dry out and see sunny skies again. The nice thing is when it does pour down here, it really brings out the greenery and plant life, and makes for a great daytrip to discovering the desert!
