It has been nearly three years since Taylor Swift dropped new material. Swift announced via her Instagram that she is dropping a brand-new single this Thursday, August 24th, from her forthcoming new album called Reputation, expected out November 10th. One source says it doesn’t sound like anything she’s done before. Fans should expect a new look, feel, and sound with the new material. Another source shared that Taylor is looking to overhaul her image with the release of Reputation. The album cover reveals Swift in black lipstick. I guess we can say goodbye to “cherry lips and crystal skies.” For the cover, she worked with Mert Alas, the same photographer who shot her cover for Vogue in May 2016. It seems as though Swift trusts him with her new look. Can she beat the sales of her previous effort, 1989, which sold 1.2 million copies in it’s debut week? Only time will tell!
