NFL rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson does good deed for community

With all the talk about NFL players kneeling during the anthem, how about a feel-good story from the professional football league? This is the incredibly heartwarming tale of Houston Texans rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson.

You and I both know that NFL players make mucho money and what they do with it is their business, but Deshaun wanted to make a difference for three hard working NRG Stadium employees who had lost everything during Hurricane Harvey. He gave them his first NFL paycheck, worth roughly $28,000.

Naturally, they were shocked, yet so thankful that someone would help them get back on their feet after sustaining substantial damage to their cars and homes from the hurricane.

The Houston Texans posted a video to their Facebook page showing Watson delivering three envelopes with ribbons on them to three women who work in the team’s cafeteria. He is seen saying, “For what you all do for us every day and never complain, I really appreciate you all, so I wanted to give my first game check to y’all to help y’all out in some type of way. Here you guys go.”

Such a sweet gesture ! It must have been good karma cause the team went on to win last Sun with a score of 57-14 setting a team franchise record for points made in a game. Go Texans!
