Gilbert family featured on nationally televised holiday lights special

One Arizona family’s holiday light display was so grand, it was featured in the television special, “The Great Christmas Light Fight.”

The Richins’ Family Christmas Lights in Gilbert proudly puts out the power of 100,000 bulbs, which light up five homes in the neighborhood.

The display includes 13 festive holiday songs, and every second is programmed differently. Richins uses computer software to design it. Each song takes him about 100 hours to program on more than 30,000 channels.

It has been a Christmas tradition at his home for a decade.

The lights are on now and will run through December 25th, Christmas Day. The address is 396 W. Liberty Lane, Gilbert, Ariz. 85233
