Some categories EVIT was included in were Best High School Teacher and Best Public School, while the culinary department recieved a nod for Best Breakfast Spot for Bistro 13. The automotive area of EVIT was nominated for Best Auto Repair, most, if not all, of which is performed by EVIT students.

Employees of EVIT also featured the school in the Best Place to Work category.

Our very own morning show host on The Morning Beat at 88.7 The Pulse, Steve Grosz is up for Best High School teacher. Steve has been teaching at EVIT since 1997 and his tenure exceeds all employees. He was previously awarded the Phoenix Suns-America West Airlines Educator of the Year in 2000. Steve has worked hard to offer two radio stations for EVIT students to work with in 90.7 The Goldmine and 88.7 The Pulse, both of which he is general manager of. Steve also coached his students to the National Gold Medal Award in Audio Production in 2010, and five Top 5 finishes nationally the past few years.

The community can vote every day in every way through desktop, laptop, and mobile phones at eastvalleytribune.com for their favorites in all categories!
