What we learned this week on The Morning Beat News with Jeff Kode

So what DID we learn this week boys and girls? Let’s take a look!

X Factor alumni Jeff Gutt will provide lead vocals for American rock band Stone Temple Pilots as they rock their way to Arizona this Saturday, March 10th for a show in Tempe. You might even hear the lead single, “Roll Me Under,” from their forthcoming second self-titled album, available March 16th!

From the 1950s to 1990s, the Arizona State Fair has hosted numerous national acts including Elvis in 1956, and again in 1970, Jimi Hendrix, Simon & Garfunkel, and the Doors in 1968, and Nirvana in 1993. Now, the state fair may be moving to another venue, but it’s all up to you Arizona as the governor’s office is asking local residents to offer feedback on the state fair and how it can modernize to continue “the tradition of quality entertainment, memories, and fun for years to come.”

Our dumb criminals of the day and morons of the morning taught us that we should NOT light cigarettes in our car after using a body spray (or at all for good health!), and definitely DO NOT put shoplifting on your bucket list as one 23 year old did in Pennsylvania, especially not if your Mom is the district attorney for the county!

Summer movies are set to launch early when Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity Wars shakes up theaters April 27th. Soon after, Solo: A Stars Wars Story premieres May 25th. The sixth story of the series, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom stomps onto the big screen in June, and Tom Cruise returns for Mission Impossible: Fallout on July 27th. Action-packed prequels and sequels will dominate the box office over the summer season.
