Amazon Prime is arguably one of the biggest sites to stream content.
Effective soon, Amazon is raising their annual rate to be a Prime member to $119, up 20% from the previous year.
The new pricing will apply to existing members’ renewals starting June 16th and new members on May 11th.
The 20% increase comes four years after Amazon last raised the annual price of the highly popular Prime program. In 2014 the cost went from $79 to $99.
In case you were wondering, Amazon Prime has over 100 million paid subscribers worldwide. That’s an extra $20 per person times 100 million. Anyone good at math? … That’s 2 billion dollars folks!
