Las Vegas visitors dwindling due to greed despite glitz and glamour

Las Vegas has been known for it’s glitz and glamour forever, but more people are starting to think of greed when it comes to Sin City’s reputation.

The Los Angeles Times reported that fewer and fewer folks are heading to Vegas.

One insider believes it’s due to the rising costs of hotel resort and parking fees with some, notably The Venetian and The Palazzo, adding as much as $45 a day to visitors’ hotel bills on top of the daily charge for your room.

The publisher of Las Vegas Advisor blames the extra charges on a recent decline in the number of guests. Others say the 10 month decline is primarily attributed to the reduction of available rooms due to renovations, as well as a near-term impact from the tragic events of October 1st when 58 people were killed by a crazed gunman during a country music festival along the Strip.

Whether you stay on the Strip or downtown, resort fees and daily parking costs are a reality.

You might wonder if there is any way around you, and I can tell you this … there are 28 hotels in Vegas that DO NOT charge a resort fee.
