Janet Jackson The Queen of RnB to drop new single Made For Now August 17

Is the gossip real ? Yes indeed!

As her State of the World Tour wraps up, Janet Jackson teams up with multi-platinum Reggaeton superstar Daddy Yankee as they gear up for the release of their next single, “Made For Now” this Friday (August 17)

Both Jackson and Yankee announced it on their social media.

Also on August 17, 52 year old Jackson will perform the song for the first time live with Daddy Yankee at The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC.

“Made For Now” was produced by Harmony Samuels, who has crafted tracks for Ariana Grande, Mary J. Blige, Maroon 5, and Jennifer Lopez.

Shot in Brooklyn, New York, in July, the music video was produced by Grammy-Award winning Director Dave Myers and features a neighborhood dance party filled with a contingent of international dancers from Ghana, Nigeria, Grenada, Trinidad and the U.S. – all picked by Janet herself!

“The song is meant to move people to enjoy their lives and seize opportunities today, not worry or wait until tomorrow,” she said in a statement.

The record will serve as Janet’s first single release in two years, following 2016’s “Dammn Baby” off her eleventh studio album Unbreakable and the birth of her son with Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana.

Her forthcoming brand-new album would be her first in three years!
