Rapper Mac Miller has died of an apparent overdose, TMZ reports.
He was discovered Friday, September 7th, 2018 at his San Fernando Valley home and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 26-year-old rapper reportedly struggled with substance abuse in the wake of his split from Ariana Grande.
Miller wrecked his G-Wagon after crashing it into a power pole in Los Angeles just this May. He was subsequently arrested for a DUI after he fled the scene. He eventually blew two times the legal limit when police found him at his home.
Shortly after the crash, ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande posted a statement about their former relationship, citing that she had “cared for him and tried to support his sobriety.” After their breakup, Ariana made it clear … his substance abuse had been a deal breaker in their 2-year relationship.
He was not dating anyone before his passing, according to Who’s Dated Who.
His most recent album, Swimming, was just released on August 3.
His upcoming tour was set to start October 27.
