Phoenix Film Festival 2019 Movies You Should See April 4th to 14th

It’s Jazz Appreciation Month! What better way to celebrate than outdoors in the evening with a cool breeze. The Chandler Jazz Festival soothes your soul Friday, April 5th and Saturday, April 6th. Located at Dr A.J Chandler Park, admission is FREE for all ages! Both local and national acts will perform. Styles from traditional and fusion rhythm to smooth jazz will be played from 5 to 10:30 p.m. each night. Join your LGBT neighbors at Phoenix Pride Festival. Multiple stages of entertainment, plus a variety of food, kids’ zone, and more! 80s star Taylor Dayne will be performing. More info at phoenixpridefest.org. It all goes down April 6-7th from Noon to 9pm daily. The festival is located at Steele Indian School Park. Additional details at phoenixpride.org

 

Gilbert’s Global Village Festival is a multicultural celebration for all ages. The festival brings neighbors together in a friendly, educational way to learn more about each other. Community members, schools, non-profits and service organizations are invited to join the 15th annual Gilbert Global Village Festival. This family-friendly event highlights some of the traditional and contemporary forms of dance, music, children’s activities, arts & crafts and ethnic foods from countries far away. It’s all on the green open spaces of the Gilbert Civic Center North Campus. Tempe Human Services Day is this Saturday, April 6th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Tempe Community Complex will transform into an oasis of fun offering food, music, giveaways, and a fun zone for kids. Low-cost produce – $12 for up to 70 pounds – will be available through 11 a.m.

DT Mesa Fest (Downtown Mesa Festival of the Arts) formerly (MACFest) is a ​free festival for everyone featuring unique artist creations, music, food, and fun for the whole family. The festival will be located on MacDonald Street & Main in the heart of Downtown Mesa! Enjoy the festivities from 10 a.m to 4 p.m.

 

Did you know this Saturday is April Pools Day? Get ready to enjoy the waves at Kiwanis Wave Pool. The swim season kicks off April 6th from 1-5 p.m. Admission is FREE! For more information, visit tempe.gov/waves or call 480-350-5201.
