Steve Grosz is returning to the airwaves this Wednesday, July 31st at 7 AM!
The Pulse’s General Manager and Morning Show Host will return to the Morning Beat, seven weeks after suffering a minor stroke.
In the early morning hours of June 20th, Steve woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t speak clearly. Knowing something was wrong, he decided to go to the emergency room, where he arrived shortly after. After hours of tests, it was determined Steve had suffered a mild stroke brought on by undiagnosed high blood pressure.
In the past seven weeks, Steve has worked to improve his speech in therapy. Steve was not permanently impacted physically or mentally.
Steve says: “I was never all there mentally anyway. I probably am better off than I was before… in all seriousness though, I was very lucky. But as a radio personality for 33 years, it is so ironic that the only thing affected was my speech. I think someone up above was sending me a message.”
The usual Morning Co-host, Mateo Valdez has since stepped up to lead.
The show, with help from Jared Bodine; Xandra Knebel, “GW”‘ Gillis Williams and “Dandy Andy” Andrew Davy has been a success in his absence. All are former students of Steve at East Valley Institute of Technology.
Steve says, “I’m still healing, but it’s time to get back to work.”
Be sure to tune in to Wayback Wednesday next week, July 31st, to hear the grand return!
