30 year old man Jonathan Smith saves 30 people at Las Vegas event

A hero emerges from the Las Vegas tragedy! His name is Jonathan Smith and he was shot in the neck before saving a reported 30 concertgoers Sunday night.

Jonathan was there celebrating his brother’s 30th birthday along with nine other family members when gunshots rang out. He quickly told his family to hold hands and run while Jonathan went back to grab people and lead them to a handicap parking lot where they ducked behind cars.

He was shot in the neck when he tried to rescue a group of girls and bring them to safety. Jonathan himself was saved by an off-duty San Diego police officer who tried to stop the bleeding and was able to flag down a passing truck that drove him and others to a nearby hospital.

According to the Washington Post, the good news is that Jonathan will live and is already a hero to many when the news was shared on social media and Reddit.
