BREAKING: NBA Legend Kobe Bryant, Dead at 41

Bryant was killed in Calabasas, CA after a deadly helicopter crash, killing at least 8 others

BREAKING: Kobe Bryant, recently retired NBA legend has been killed in a helicopter crash in California.

TMZ first broke the news after confirming the death of at least 9 people, including Kobe and his 13-year old daughter, Gianna.

They were on their way to a youth basketball game that Gianna was going to play in, with her dad as the coach.

Eyewitness accounts say that they saw the helicopter’s engine spur out of control before it went crashing down on a mountainside in Calabasas.

Emergency personnel responded quickly, but all passengers were confirmed dead on the scene.

In his 20-year stint as an NBA All-Star, Kobe Bryant spent his entire career with the Los Angeles Lakers, totaling 5 NBA Championships.

He also has an MVP trophy, along with 18 All-Star Game appearances; 4 All-Star Game MVPs, 2 Finals MVPs, and 2 scoring titles to his credit.

Notably so, he has the record for the most points ever scored in a single game among the modern NBA rules. He scored 81 points in a win versus the Toronto Raptors. The only player to score more was Wilt Chamberlain, who scored 100 in 1962.

His successes off the court were stellar as well, winning an Oscar for his 2018 film, ‘Dear Basketball’.

Before his death, he was regarded as one of the best basketball players of all time.

RIP Kobe.

UPDATE: The helicopter crash this morning has taken the lives of 9 people, including Bryant’s daughter, who is 13.
