Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training or ASIST is a two-day face-to-face workshop featuring powerful audiovisuals, discussions, and simulations. Family, friends and other community members may be the first to talk with a person at risk for suicide, but have little or no training. At an ASIST workshop, you’ll learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, providing a skilled intervention, and developing a safety plan to keep someone alive. Knowledgeable, supportive trainers will guide you through the course, ensuring your comfort and safety.
ASIST is for EVERYONE 16 years and older—regardless of prior experience—who wants to be able to provide suicide first aid. Participants must attend the entire workshop and will receive a certificate upon completion.
The workshop will be held on the EVIT main campus at 1601 W. Main in Mesa, AZ on Saturday & Sunday.
This training is free of charge. There are only limited number of spots are available in at each workshop. Please register soon!
