As Arizona and 49 other states learn more about the ever evolving situation surrounding COVID-19, or Corona-virus, some have made decisions regarding school attendance.
Governor Doug Ducey and schools superintendent Kathy Hoffman made an announcement Sunday. All Arizona schools will close from Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27. Furthermore, this includes all 39 Maricopa county area school districts. “The safest place for children during this time is at home,” Ducey and Hoffman wrote in a letter.
Thus far, nine states, including Arizona, and Washington D.C have decided to close all education facilities until further notice.
