Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will soon require all employees and members of the public to wear a face covering inside its facilities.
The new rule will go into effect beginning June 1 and applies to everyone within the airport’s terminals, rental car center, and buses, as well as the PHX Sky Train.
“Travelers, employees, and those visiting the airport should bring their own mask to wear throughout the airport,” the city said, adding that homemade cloth masks and bandanas are accepted under the new policy as long as both your nose and mouth are covered.
Additionally, “Several airport stores are currently selling facial coverings with more stores to offer additional options soon,” according to the city.
