Looters break into businesses and steal from Scottsdale Fashion Square

Late Saturday night, a massive mob descended upon downtown Scottsdale. Looters broke into Scottsdale Fashion Square and stole merchandise from stores.

The scene left windows shattered, vandalism, and multiple items stolen from stores in the area. A Scottsdale Mercedes dealership was affected. Thefts were reported at the Apple store and Neiman Marcus.

A heavy police presence declared an unlawful assembly. Furthermore, Scottsdale PD tweeted that anyone in the area would be cited and arrested.

The violent mob was mainly made up of teens and young adults. A small group of protesters were in front of police chanting “No justice, no peace.” The reference was to the recently deceased George Floyd, a black man who died while in police custody in Minneapolis.
