Almost all of us love this snack and today we celebrate it!

It can be sweet and it can be salty. Kinda like I lot of people I know. Sound familiar? 92 out of 100 of us love popcorn. Today (March 11, 2021) is Popcorn Lovers Day. Ever wonder what the most popular flavors of popcorn are? Here are the top ten . . .

  1. “Zebra” popcorn, 1%. It has chocolate AND white chocolate drizzled on top.

  2. Red velvet, 1%. Food Network has a recipe using your favorite popcorn, cream cheese frosting, and crumbled red velevet cake.

  3. Plain. Only 1 out of 50 of us prefer our popcorn with nothing on it.

  1. “Turtle” popcorn, 3%. Paula Deen suggests mixing freshly popped popcorn with butter, brown sugar, light corn syrup, semisweet chocolate, salt, and vanilla extract.

  2. Garlic, 3%. My personal favorite is Kernel Season’s “Garlic and Parmesan” Popcorn Seasoning.

  3. Regular cheddar, 11%.

  4. Kettle corn, 15%. Women were 30% more likely to say they liked it than men.

  5. Caramel corn, also 16%.

  6. White cheddar, 16%. If you combine that with regular cheddar, it’s really 27%.

  1. Classic butter and salt. Almost a third of us admit it’s our favorite way to enjoy popcorn.
