COVID-19 Booster Shots Will Roll Out In September In The U.S.

U.S. health officials announced plans on Wednesday to dispense Covid-19 booster shots to all Americans.

The plan calls for an extra dose eight months after people get their second shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. The doses could begin the week of Sept. 20.

“Our plan is to protect the American people, to stay ahead of this virus,” said Dr. Rochelle Walensky, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
